That’s because a number of the wonderful companies we work with offer “self-guided” holidays. ‘these companies include Exodus, Explore, Backroads, G and Intrepid. They research and plan the itinerary and book the accommodation for you, while providing you with detailed trip notes as to how to plan and what to expect. There’s quite an array of trips to chose from: you may find yourself and your loved one cycling through France, exploring the mysteries of Marrakesh in Morocco, or learning about the fascinating Incan culture in Peru.

Best of all, the companies look after the logistics, including private guided tours, transfers, luggage transfers – ideal for walking Traveler with vintage photo cameraand cycling tours, and some meals (inclusions vary by operator and by itinerary).
In exchange they ask for a moderate level of fitness, an openness to new experiences and sense of adventure. Sounds like a fair exchange to us!
