Vision Travel Solutions Named One of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies

TORONTO (September 17, 2015) — Vision Travel Solutions has been named one of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies in the 27th annual PROFIT 500. Published in the October issue of Canadian Business and at PROFITguide.com, the PROFIT 500 ranks Canadian businesses by their five-year revenue growth.

The company achieved this latest milestone after posting a five-year revenue growth of 96%, capping 15 years of continued growth for Canada’s largest independently -owned travel management company.

Vision Travel was born under the most unlikely circumstances, a traditional travel agency emerging from the dotcom boom. Its principals, five travel agencies joining forces to remain competitive in an industry exceedingly moving online, have a 60-year experience in travel and firmly believed the Canadian market will support their personalized, hands on approach to travel planning. “As Canadians, travel is in our DNA. It is part of our culture and fundamental to fueling our economy. Back in 2000, we started seeing the rapid commoditization of travel and we wanted to make sure that the Canadian market continued to be served by a company that understands that, for us, it is more than just getting from point A to B, ” says Arend Roos, CEO of Vision Travel Solutions. “The recognition from PROFIT 500 is especially important for us, because it validates this mission.”

“The PROFIT 500 represent the highest tier of entrepreneurialism in Canada,” says James Cowan, Editor-in-chief of PROFIT and Canadian Business. “They should be lauded for the positive economic contributions they’ve made to their communities—and the entire country.  They are examples of what can be accomplished with innovation, discipline and determination.”

Vision Travel provides a comprehensive range of corporate travel, cruises, leisure vacations, and meetings & incentives services. They manage corporate travel for some of Canada’s largest companies in the mining and resources, retail, professional services and government sectors. They are also the largest Canadian member of the prestigious luxury leisure travel group, Virtuoso.
