Hannover Airport closed due to bomb alert on Turkish Airlines plane
Hannover Airport in northern Germany has been closed due to a bomb alert involving a passenger plane of Turkish Airlines which took off from Istanbul, according to German authorities.
According to information, all flights have been postponed and pilots of incoming flights have been instructed to land their planes on other airports.
As Bild newspaper revealed, a spokesman of German police said that the alarm was due to a paper found in the toilet of the Turkish Airlines aircraft, on which the word bomb was written.
The pilot immediately informed the control tower and when the plane was landed, it was immediately evacuated. German authorities are currently conducting an investigation.
