An after university adventure to Europe has led to a life long love of travel. My start was with Eaton's Travel way back when, leading to the opening of Steel City Travel a few years later. After more than 25 years of operating Steel City Travel, the time came to "slow down a bit", transitioning to "home office" in mid-2011.
In the past 10 years we have become very involved in outdoor adventure vacations. Our tours mostly are hiking, but also include some cycling and kayaking as well. We have had tours to the Grand Canyon, New Zealand, the Dolomites of Italy numerous times and our greatest challenge - the Inca Trail of Peru. It's great to challenge ourselves by day and enjoy nice hotel accommodations and meals at night.
I enjoy planning adventure tours, not just our own, but with other operators as well. Being home has allowed me more time to enjoy daily cycling around Hamilton and discovering new trails for hiking as well.
