Couples Negril

January 20, 2010 | General

I had the pleasure and privilege to visit this beautiful resort last May. My fiancée and I were celebrating our recent engagement, we could not have asked for a more romantic setting. This has been thus far, my most memorable vacation in the Caribbean.

Upon our arrival at the hotel, I am pleased to say I was not overwhelmed by its size, but taken back by its chic and mature beauty..this to me is the theme for this resort, chic and mature. The staff were friendly and helpful, but not aggressive or overbearing. On our walk from the lobby to our room we passed natural ponds, rock pathways and shaded hammocks hanging from secluded palm trees. I knew this was the perfect oasis to getaway from it all.
Our room was simple but comfortable. We were on a ground floor room only 50 or less steps from the beach, with wonderful scenery of the natural gardens.

Our week was spent between the white sand beaches and the pool, enjoying the incredible inclusions the resort has to offer. Watersports, boat tours, shopping tours, and unlimited golf are all included. We took advantage of the water skiing, dance lessons, champagne and chocolate sunset and our favourite, the Sunset Catamaran Cruise. This was a great excursion along the beaches of Negril. Great reggae music, delicious beverages and some optional cliff jumping!
After the sun went down, we would enjoy the evening entertainment, use our new found dance moves in the piano bar, or spend our hard earned resort dollars at casino night.

One of the biggest highlights for myself and fiancé was the food. Again, chic and mature.
The Cassava Terrace offers buffet and themed menus including a spectacular seafood buffet once a week. The restaurant is open air dining and offers a causal option in the evening with live music from the Resident Band.
Heliconia has a beach view and an ocean breeze. It is romantic and delicious, offering a Mediterranean menu, and the best spaghetti and meatballs I have ever had.
Otaheite is the only a la carte that requires reservations. It features a unique Jamaican and Caribbean blend in a elegant dining room setting.
Lychee was our favourite. The Asian menu features Thai and Japanese cuisine with scrumptious appetizers. The Lychee Martini is a must!

I have never experienced an all inclusive vacation before that left me feeling so revived. The resort made us feeling deserving, the scenery made us feel like we were in paradise and the people in Jamaica made us feel the music.....we are returning for our honeymoon!

For more information about Couples Negril, or any Couples Resort please contact me, I would be thrilled to share this piece of paradise!
