Hello and Bonjour,

I'm Julia Browne, the founder of Walking The Spirit Tours -Black Paris & Beyond.

 

I moved to Paris in 1990 and though I spent countless hours exploring the city and absorbing its history, it wasn't until I discovered that writer Langston Hughes used to live right in my neighbourhood that I felt a true and deep connection to the city.

In 1994, thanks to the mentoring of the late Professor Michel Fabre of the Sorbonne Nouvelle, I pioneered the genre of Black heritage tourism in Paris.

Through Walking The Spirit tours, I help visitors get an indepth, unique French travel experience so that they can effortlessly discover the soul of France and Europe and gain an Afrocentric perspective like they'll find with no other professional.
