Adventure Canada believes sustainable travel is part of securing a healthy economic outlook for the communities and regions they visit—but they also know they can do more. That’s why Adventure Canada established the Discovery Fund Program.
Every tour sold includes a contribution to the Adventure Canada Discovery Fund Program, helping contribute to issues like habitat enhancement, youth outreach, community support, and the work of their many charitable partners.
With Adventure Canada extensive connections and deep relationships, they are able to identify and contribute to a wide variety of causes every year. These range from supporting charitable partners like the Quebec Labrador Foundation and Students on Ice, to providing emergency funding “on the ground”—for example, when homes in François, NL were washed into the sea.
Adventure Canada also provides non-monetary resources, such as cargo space on our planes and ships to organizations like Project North, which brings sports equipment to youth in the Arctic, and Students on Ice, which provides youth from north and south opportunities to travel together in the polar regions.
