Walking in Mallorca8 daysPuerto Sóller to Lluc, Mallorca | Style: Walking and Trekking | Activity Level: Moderate
Enjoy coastal panoramas and walks up into the dramatic Tramuntana Mountains
Behind Mallorca’s (also known as Majorca) façade lies a tranquil and timeless landscape. Rising abruptly out of the island’s interior are the craggy outcrops of the Tramuntana Mountains (UNESCO site since 2011), over which birds of prey can often be seen soaring on the breeze. Following a network of established trails, we trek to some of the highest peaks and enjoy spectacular vistas to the Mediterranean. Elsewhere, we discover picturesque hamlets complete with mediaeval churches and pass terraced hillsides adorned with sun-kissed citrus trees. In contrast, our coastal walks will reveal sleepy fishing marinas, secret coves and pebble bays.

Go beyond the Algarve and explore Portugal's most pristine coastal trails
Boasting one of the most beautiful and well-preserved coastlines of Europe, blessed with wild pristine beaches, towering cliffs, great biodiversity, remote whitewashed traditional villages and a temperate climate, Portugal’s Rota Vicentina is the ultimate hikers and ramblers' paradise. We have hand-picked the very best walks from the 125km selection of coastal trails that span the tranquil Portuguese region of Alentejo and along the few remaining undeveloped shores of the Algarve. Starting from the picturesque town of Vila Nova de Milfontes, we walk on quiet cliff trails used by locals to access the beaches and best fishing spots, and end in the famous town of Sagres. We stay overnight in three different villages chosen to provide easy access to/from the trails each day.
